​            The books that you see here are self-published books by the author, David Shortell.  Each book includes a collection of photographs of each cemetery presented in each book in alphabetical order.  The books include multiple charts and graphs of the important people interred in the cemeteries.  Interesting inscriptions as well as a narrative of old stone carvers makes this material a document well worth looking at.  The information is well presented and easy to understand.  The author has provided simplified material that a cemetery enthusiast will welcome.  A disc is also included that provides the reader with information in an interesting format.  Many different types of people will enjoy information from these books, including archaeologists, genealogists, New England and Colonial historians and others.  Also with this book you will get a map of each cemetery that can help you find exactly where the stone you are looking for is located.


           I have been creating these books since 2000 and I will continue for the foreseeable future.  The fifteenth book I am working on is the Gurley Cemetery in Madison, CT.  I should have that book available by the fall, 2017.
